Beetroot Halwa
A delicious Halwa for your sweet tooth

Beetroot Halwa is a delicious desert having a rich & creamy texture. The process of making beetroot halwa is similar to carrot halwa.If you want to make it more healthier you can replace sugar with sugar free .
Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 20~25 min
Total time: 30~35 min
Ingredients
Beetroot - 500~600 grm
Milk - 1/2 ltr (500 ml)
Sugar - 6 tbsp/ as per taste
Cardamom - 5~6
Cashew & kismis
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Procedure
Step 1
Wash beetroot properly .

Step 2
Cut from both end & peel them .

Step 3
Grate them with the help of a grater using thicker side .

Step 4
Fry cashew & kismis with some ghee & keep aside .


Step 5
Heat remaining ghee in a kadai /pan .

Step 6
Add grated beetroot and saute on medium flame.

Initally it will release some water. Initial 1~2 minute you can keep the flame high .

Saute it till all moisture go away .

Step 7
Now add boiled milk & cook until the entire thing turns thick .Stire in between so that it will not stick to the bottom.

Step 8
Make powder of cardamom .


Step 9
Add sugar,cardamom powder & fried dry fruit when it start thickening .

Step 10
Mix well & cook for few more minute to make it thick.

Now rich & delicious beetroot halwa is ready to be served. You can garnish it with some choped almond & pistachio
