Cake pops

Kids party time desert

Cake pops are a form of cake styled as lollipop. Crumbled cakes are mixed with chocolate or icing & formed in to small balls and thern coated with mealted chocolate. For this recipe you do not need to prepare a cake at home. You can use any readymade cake of your choice or else home made cake.

Preparation Time: 45~60 min

Cooking Time: 00 min (If using store bought cake)

Total time: 1hr


  • Basic spong cake - 1 (I have used vanila cake)

  • Chocolate syrup - 1~2 tbsp

  • Peanut butter - 1 tbsp(optional)

  • Chocolate compound - 200 grm aprox for 8~10 balls

  • Sprinklers

  • Bambo stick or lollipop stick


Step 1

Break the cake to make it crumble

Step 2

Add peanut butter & chocolate syrup and mix it properly.I added peanut butter for a crunchy & nutty taste. It is totally optional. You can use only chocolate syrup or nutella. You can add more if necessary for proper binding .The only reason of adding is for binding .

Step 3

Take small portion of it and by pressing your hand make smooth small balls of it .

Step 4

Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler method .

Step 5

Dip the top of the stick in the chocolate & insert in to the ball carefully.Make sure to insert half of the ball.Gently press the ball towards the stick ,so that the balls will stick properly .

Step 6

Prepare all balls & kept in refrigerator for half hour to set properly .

Step 7

Now coat the balls with mealted chocolate with the help of a spoon. Tap it gently to remove all excess chocolate Or with the help of a spoon remove all excess chocolate .

Step 8

Now sprinkle some sprinklers & keep it in fridge to set

Now cake pops are ready to be served .Keep it in fridge & serve it when required.
