Chikoo - Banana Smoothie

A healthy and refreshing drink.

Chikoo-banana smoothie is a delicious drink with full of nutrition. It is a one dish meal in itself. Having a glass of this will keep you energized and full for a long period of time. Banana is loaded with essential vitamin and minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, B6 , where chikoo is rich in vitamin A and C. These all will keep you energized and are also good for bones. Most importantly chikoo and banana are considered as very healthy food for pregnant women.

Ingredients (For two servings)

  • 6-7 numbers of chikoo (sapota)

  • 1 medium sized ripe banana

  • 2 tablespoon of Oats

  • 7-8 numbers of soaked almonds

  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoons of honey

  • Milk approximately 2 cups (preferably chilled)

  • 4 Ice cubes


  • At first wash the chikoos properly.

  • Spoon-out the pulp of chikoos and remove the seeds from it.

  • For making the smoothie take a blending jar and blend all the ingredients without adding milk. Make a smooth paste of it. Then add the milk and again blend it.

  • You can adjust the amount of honey according to your choice. Chikoo and banana are already sweet in test so no need to add too much.

  • Now your chikoo banana smoothie is ready to be served. Pour it in to a glass and serve chilled.

  • You can garnish it with some chopped almond, crushed chocolate or some choco chips.
