An odia delicacy
Chuda Ghasa is an Odia delicacy which is a combination of flattened rice,grated coconut,sugar & black pepper.This recipe do not require any cooking so it is generaly offered as a prasad in Ganesh Chaturthi or in any festival/puja . Chuda Ghasa also offered as a prasd to Lord Jagannath on the eve of Bahuda Jatra .Preparation of this recipe is very simple but you need some patience because you need to rub the entire mixture with your palm & it will take approx 20 minute .This recipe is quite popular in coastal region of odisha. You can have it alone or with Dalma. It is a compulsory food in my inlaws house on every Ganesh Chaturthi & my mother in law always prepare it so good. And this recipe I learnt from her. So today I am going to share with you my mother in law's recipe .
Preparation time: Approx 40~45 minute

Total time: 40~45 min
Flattened rice/chuda - 300 grm
Grated coconut - 1 medium
Sugar - approx 150~200 grm/ 10~12 tbsp
Black pepper - 1.5~2 tsp
Green cardamom - 4
Ghee- 1/2 tsp
Take 300 grm of flattened rice and dry grind to make slight coarse powder .Keep aside.
Now grate 1 coconut & add sugar.
Mix grated coconut & sugar very well till maximum sugar disolve in grated cononut.
Now in a wide plate or any other wide dish keep flattened rice & coconut mixture & mix well.
Now by using your hand rub entire thing,it will take approx 15~20 miniute .The entire thing will mix well and entire thing will look like breadcrumbs .
Now make powder of black pepper, green cardamom & mix in chuda ghasa .
Now at the end add ghee and mix everything well & Chuda Ghasa is ready to be served .

(Note- If you want to make it more healthy You can replace sugar with powder jaggery but the taste may vary slightly .)
