Crispy Honey Chilli Fish
A delicious appetizer
Crispy honey chilli fish is an easy to make and a delicious recipe. It has a balance of taste and texture (crispy from outside & juicy from inside).This recipe is a perfect combination of sweet , sour & hot.
Preparation Time: 15 -20 min
Cooking Time: 20 min
Total time: 35~40 min
Fish Fillets -2 (320gm) cut in to small pieces
(i have used salmon fish,you can use any other fish fillets like basa or singara)
Kashmiri red chili powder- 1 tsp
Red chili paste- 1/2 tbsp
Lemon juice- 1/2 tbsp
Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Refined flour- 2 tbsp
Corn flour- 2 tbsp
Baking soda- 1 pinch (optional)
Crushed ginger &garlic-1 tbsp
White sesame seeds -1/2 tsp
Soy sause-1/2 tsp
Red chili sause- 1/2 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Corriender leave or spring onion green for garnishing
Wash and clean fish fillet cubes & remove all water
Add kashmiri red chili powder,salt to taste, black pepper powder & lemon juice. mix well. Keep it for 15 min.
After 15 min add refined flour, corn flour, baking soda & white sesame seed.Mix well without adding water.Otherwise fish will not be crispy.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
fry the fish till golden brown on medium flame.
Remove all excess oil and keep only 1 tbsp oil. Add crushed ginger& garlic .
Add red chili paste
Add red chili sause,tomato sause,soya saus,vinegar & honey .Mix well
Add fried fish & mix well.Add little more black pepper powder & mix.
For garnishing add some roasted white sesame seed and corriender leave or spring onion green.
Now crispy honey chilli fish is ready to be served.
Note : For making red chilli paste, take 8 to 10 dry red chilli, soak them in hot water for 30 minutes and then make a fine paste of it.
