Custard Apple Smoothie

Custard apples are also known as “Sharifa/Sitaphal”. There are two varieties of custard apple, one is called sitaphal and the other variety is called ramphal. Many of us are not acquainted with ramphal. The difference between the two varieties is, the exterior of sitaphal is greenish in color and has a rough surface, whereas ramphal is yellowish with red highlight and the surface is smooth. The inside of both are more or less same with a buttery, smooth, sweet pulp having a delightful aroma. It has many health benefits like

But now a days we are not interested to eat such food because we feel difficult to remove the seeds and then eat. To make it more interesting I thought of making a smoothie out of it. This smoothie is creamy and very delicious to drink.

Ingredients (For two servings)
2 medium sized custard apple
Ramphal or sitaphal. (I have used ramphal)
2 cups of chilled milk
2 tbsp of honey as per taste. You can use sugar also
Procedure:
Step I :
Make two half of the custard apple and spoon out the pulp of the custard apple
Step II :
Take a strainer & put all the pulp into it and mash it with the help of a spoon or you can use your hand. Now you will get your seedless pulp.
Step III :
Put the seedless pulp, milk, and honey into your mixing jar & make a fine paste of it.
Step IV :
Your custard apple smoothie is ready now. You can enjoy it like this or you can garnish it with some dry fruit or strawberry crush. I have used strawberry crush for garnishing.
