Pumpkin Halwa
A sweet recipe by using pumpkin

Pumpkin is a highly nutrient food which is rich in vitamins & minerals but low in calories. The potassium contained within pumpkins can have a positive effect on blood pressure. The content of vitamin 'A' helps in improving eye vision . Pumpkin is rich in fiber which makes you full for longer time & also helps in weight loss ,but many people do not like to eat pumpkin. So today I am going to share a desert recipe which everybody will like .
Preparation Time: 15~20 min
Cooking Time: 20 min
Total time: 40 min
Ingredients
Red pumpkin - 1/2 kg
Sugar - Aprox 4~5 tbsp or as per taste
Milk - 250 ml
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Black pepper powder - 2 pinch
Dry fruits as per choice (I used cashew & almond)
Ghee - 2~3 tbsp
Procedure
Step 1
Scoop out the seed of the pumpkin & peel the outer skin .

Make sure there should not be any skin .

Step 2
Grate the pumpkin with the help of a grater .

Step 3
Heat ghee in a kadai on low flame .

Add grated pumpkin .

Step 4
Cook on medium or low~medium flame until it become dry & raw smell go away .

Step 5
Add sugar & mix well .

Cook until sugar melt .

Step 6
Add milk now & cook till become thick .

Add dry fruit ,cardamom powder & black pepper powder .Mix well .

Now Pumpkin halwa is ready to be served.Serve hot or cold as per your choice .
